BPW Clubs that are financial, and have a minimum 10 members, on 15 September are eligible to send Delegates to Conference.
However, a BPW Club that is not financial on that date may send Observers to the Conference.
Delegate forms should be submitted to BPW Australia secretary@bpw.com.au

Each Club is entitled to nominate 3 voting delegates and 3 alternate delegates in addition to the nominated delegates.  In addition, clubs may send as many observers as it wishes to Conference. (Constitution Clause 8.4). If less than 3 club Delegates are present at Conference, those present may cast the 3 votes to which that club is entitled.

BPW Clubs will be required to produce a report for inclusion in the Conference Agenda covering their activities and achievements since the Governance Summit in October 2021.

NOMINATION FORM – BPW AUSTRALIA PRESIDENT

Executive Board Members are selected by majority vote of the delegates at Conference.

Use this form to nominate candidates for President only.

NOMINATION FORM – BPW AUSTRALIA EXECUTIVE

Executive Board Members are selected by majority vote of the delegates at Conference.

Use this form to nominate candidates for Director of Policy, Director of Membership, Director of Finance, Director of Marketing or Executive Secretary. There are separate forms for candidates for President and State Representative.

NOMINATION FORM – BPW AUSTRALIA STATE REPRESENTATIVE

State Representatives are selected by BPW Clubs within the state/territory and elected as full members of the BPW Australia Board by majority vote of the delegates at Conference.

Use this form to nominate candidates for State Representative of your state or territory.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS AND RESOLUTIONS DUE: FRIDAY 28 JULY 2023

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT SUBMISSION FORM

Section 12 of the Constitution permits amendments to be made by the National Conference. A constitutional amendment requires a 3/4 majority vote of delegates to pass. Constitutional amendments must use simple English and terms consistent with the Constitution, and must maintain its clarity and transparency. Procedural matters must not be incorporated into the Constitution, but can be included in the Procedure Manual. Amendments to the Procedure Manual require a resolution passed by a majority vote of the National Conference.

BPW Clubs are encouraged to use this worksheet to assess the validity of their proposed resolution before they complete the Resolution Form. The Resolutions Committee will assess the submitted resolution against the criteria set out here.

The Resolutions Committee may reject a resolution that is deemed to not pertain to BPW core business, or may ask that certain aspects of it be revisited and revised.

A resolution that has already been passed by a previous BPW Australia National Conference may not be resubmitted.  Check with the Executive Secretary if you are unsure.
